Motorsport includes all forms of motor racing as well as non-racing motorized sports. Motor racingMotor racing is the subset of motorsport activities which involve competitors racing against each other. Forms of motor racing include auto racing, motorcycle racing, truck racing, air racing, motorboat racing, snowmobile racing and lawn mower racing. Perhaps look into technical schools in your area. Knowledge of auto mechanics would probably do you better than any engineering degree if you're serious about a job in motorsports. Speed Network tends to run several ads for schools like Universal Technical Institute (which I laugh at, not because of their degree programs, but their abbreviation is UTI), WyoTech, and the NASCAR Institute. But, an auto mechanics program, even at a technical school near you, would probably help. Also, a lot depends on who you know. Networking is essential. Get to know people in the industry, and it'll help you get a foot in the door.
